Ove meke vješalice su božićni pokloni koje sam napravila za svoje prijateljice. Ideja mi je pala na pamet slučajno, dok sam vješala jednu malo finiju majcu u ormaru. Vidjela sam da se na vješalici takva majca rasteže taman gdje rukavi počinju i, sve u svemu, gubi svoju formu. Trebalo mi je nešto mekanije, možda i deblje, okruglije.
These soft hangers are Christmas gifts for my girl friends. I got an idea when I saw how neatly pressed shirt gets wrinkles in sleeve area when hanged on custom hanger. I needed something softer, more around to keep shirt's form.
Uzela sam stare drvene vješalice i odlučila ih malčice preurediti.
So I took old wooden hangers and decided to rearrange them a little bit.
I used 1 cm thick foam.
I folded that piece of foam to double.
In the middle of folded foam I made a little hole and pull through this metal part of the hanger. Then I carved left and right end of the foam with the scissors to round them up a little bit, and hand stitched all together.
Tako su napravljene vješalice koje je još trebalo "obući".
And that's how the hangers are made, they only needed to be "suited up".
Dakle, trebao mi je kroj. Uzela sam željeni materijal, precrtala oblik vješalice olovkom,
So, I needed a pattern. I used the material I wanted, outlined the hanger's shape with pencil,
did the sam thing with the other side, trimmed the material's excess,
i dobila ovu "haljinicu".
and got this hanger's "skirt".
I used very loose stitches around the hangers.
Something like this.
And when I turned the material inside out,
I got this pattern outline!
Mašinski sam sašila gornji dio "haljinice", a skroz donji dio nisam.
Once I got this pattern I was able to use it on every hanger.
I mashine sew upper part of this hanger's "skirt", not the bottom.
I made a hole on the "skirt" to pull through this metal part, which I also dressed up in sewed ribbon. I glued the bottom part.
Još sam jednom savinula materijal i pažljivo zaljepila, da donekle uredno izgleda.
I folded that material once more and glued it again, so it looks neater.
I put some ribbons on and got these girly, soft hangers.
